1Information we collect

MOKIRI has no sign-up process, and using the image editor does not require you to enter your name or email address. The following information may nevertheless be processed when you contact us or access the service.

• Information you provide when contacting us — Your email address, enquiry and any attachments you choose to send by email.
• Information processed when you access the service — An external infrastructure provider required to operate the website may automatically process your IP address, access date and time, requested URL, browser and device information, and traffic or system-related information.
• Usage statistics — Google Analytics collects usage information such as the pages you visit, access times, approximate region, and browser or device type using cookies and similar technologies. The images you edit and their contents are never collected and never leave your browser.
• Stored in your browser — Editor preferences such as your display language remain in your browser and are not sent to an external server.

2How we use it

MOKIRI and its service provider use the information they process only for the following purposes.

• Delivering website content, maintaining security, preventing unauthorised access and providing a stable service
• Understanding usage, improving the service and diagnosing errors
• Reviewing and responding to enquiries and providing follow-up support

3Processing by external infrastructure

MOKIRI uses external infrastructure services to provide and secure the website. In operating the service, the provider may process the access information described above in locations outside Japan. MOKIRI does not separately create or retain raw access-log files that identify users. Information processed by the provider is retained in accordance with its policies and the applicable service settings. The provider’s name, countries of processing and details of its security measures will be provided without delay if requested through the email address below.

4How images are processed

Images you open are processed entirely within your browser and are never transmitted to or stored on an external server. Edited results stay on your device unless you download them or use your operating system’s share feature, and any work in progress disappears when you close the tab. If you use the share feature, the result is passed to the app or service you select and is then handled under that app’s or service’s privacy policy.

5Ad cookies and third parties

As a rule, MOKIRI does not share your information with outside parties. Where advertising is displayed, the following may apply.

• Analytics cookies — Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to compile usage statistics. You can opt out through your browser’s cookie controls or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
• Advertising cookies — Third-party ad vendors such as Google AdSense may use cookies to show ads based on your prior visits.
• Disclosure required by law — Information may be disclosed where you have consented in advance, or where required through the procedures set out in applicable law.

6Retention and destruction

Email addresses and messages received through enquiries are retained for one year after the enquiry is resolved, then deleted using reasonable methods available under the email provider’s functions and policies. Where a longer period is needed for a dispute or required by law, information is retained only to the extent and for the period necessary. Browser preferences remain on the relevant device until you delete them. Information processed by the external infrastructure provider is retained and deleted in accordance with its policies and the applicable service settings.

7Your rights and how to exercise them

Editor preferences stored in your browser can be cleared at any time using your browser’s site-data controls. To the extent provided by applicable law, you may use the email address below to request notice of the purpose of use; disclosure or access; correction, addition or deletion; suspension of use or erasure; cessation of third-party provision; and disclosure of third-party provision records. MOKIRI may request the minimum information needed to verify your identity and will respond without delay unless the law permits the request to be refused. No request fee is charged in principle.

8Security measures

MOKIRI limits access to enquiry information to the operator and applies access controls and credential management to its email and service-operation accounts. Website communications are encrypted using HTTPS, and information that has passed its retention period is handled under the destruction rules above. 9Effective date and changes

This privacy policy is effective from 26 August 2026. If it is changed, the changes and their effective date will be posted on this page before they take effect. Changes that materially affect users will also be notified separately in the manner required by applicable law.
