Why it exists
Even simple jobs — shrinking a photo, blurring out a face — often mean installing software or handing your file to an unfamiliar website. And once it is uploaded, there is rarely a good way to tell where it is stored or when it gets deleted.
MOKIRI exists to remove that step. Resizing, cropping, rotating, mosaic, shapes, text, and format conversion all run inside your browser, so your images never leave your device. There is no upload step at all.
A small team builds and runs it, refining features one at a time. The release notes show how it has changed along the way.
Three principles
Nothing leaves your device
All editing happens inside your browser. Images are never sent to a server, and your work disappears when you close the tab.
No account needed
No sign-up, no email address. Open the page and you can start editing straight away.
Free, with nothing to install
Because nothing is uploaded, running it costs almost nothing. So there is nothing to download, and every editing feature is currently free.
Worth knowing
Large images depend on your device
Editing runs on your own device, so very large images or older hardware can make it slow or run short of memory.
A recent browser is required
It targets current versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox, and works in desktop and phone browsers alike. Some features may not work in older browsers.
Your work is not saved anywhere
Nothing is kept on a server, so closing or reloading the tab discards whatever you were editing. Download the result to your device as you go.
